This review offers a critical assessment of "Martín Arista, J and Ojanguren López, A. E. (Eds.). (2024). Structuring Lexical Data and Digitising Dictionaries: Grammatical Theory, Language Processing and Databases in Historical Linguistics. Leiden and Boston: Brill". This collective volume presents new methodologies for structuring linguistic data so that they can be integrated within computational approaches. This review highlights the strengths of the volume, being the diversity of objects of study, and the subsequent presentation of multiple cutting-edge methodologies. Furthermore, as a limitation, the review also covers its highly specialized content, which may be complex for some readers; though it is stated that the intended audience is scholars specialized in linguistics, corpus linguistics and lexicographers, as well as users of linguistic data repositories. Overall, this volume may be considered a remarkable contribution to the field of historical linguistics and its intersection with new technologies.
